Rob is one of the co-founders of Armstrong-Hailey Insurance Company. He grew up in Fayetteville and graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1982. He received his B.S.B.A in Finance & Banking from the University of Arkansas in 1986, where he was also a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. In 1987, Rob joined the management training program of Armstrong Bros. Tool Company in Chicago. In 1989 he was promoted to Vice-President of Sales and Marketing of the 600-employee company. Armstrong Bros Tool Co. merged with Danaher Corp. in 1995 with Rob serving as one of three on the M&A team and continued on as Director of Industrial Marketing for the $200 Million Industrial Products Division. In 1997 Rob was promoted to National Accounts Manager and relocated to Fayetteville.

Rob is a former member of the Board of Directors of Armstrong Tools, Inc., Griswold Machine and Engineering, Inc., Armstrong-Bray & Co., and Applied Precision Hydraulics. He is Past President of The Donald W. Reynolds Boys and Girls Club, Past President of Fayetteville Country Club, and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Rob and his wife Beth live in Fayetteville and have three Children - John, Nick and Jill.
